Creamy Chicken, Mushroom & Wild Rice Soup

There’s nothing better on a cold, snowy winter’s day than a warm, hearty soup! I’ve been wanting a creamy chicken soup with wild rice for a while now, so when we got 5+ inches of snow last week it was time to experiment and make it. Just days before I had made a big pot of my Immune Support Chicken Broth (link below), so I had the chicken and the broth ready for a recipe! I just needed to figure out what else would go into the creamy soup I was craving!

I don’t like using cans of condensed cream soup because they contain so much sodium and taste fake. I like to keep my recipes as close to homemade as possible so I can control the ingredients.  It tastes better that way, and it’s healthier! Once you start making your own cream soups, you'll never want to reach for a canned soup again!  I wanted this soup to be loaded with veggies, so I looked at what I had on hand and pulled together this recipe.

We think it turned out great!  I hope you like it as well!  Let me know in the comments below.

I'm just getting started posting my favorite recipes, so if you enjoy the food I like to cook, I invite you to subscribe to my blog using the button at the top of this page to receive notification in your email each time I post a new recipe.
